RECIPE: Nutty Buddy Smoothie

Tell your all buddies! (At least those whom you want to be healthier) This is a great way to start your day.  Maca powder and chia seeds are optional ingredients to take the health benefits of this delicious shake to the next level—but don’t be intimidated, you can make friends with those two superfoods another day.

Meet your new NUTTY BUDDY

In a blender combine:

1-2 HEAPING Tbsp almond butter or Peanut Butter

1 cup almond milk or organic milk

1/2 cup filtered water

frozen banana (or 1 banana and 4-5 ice cubes)

1 cup spinach

3 dashes of cinnamon (more if you love cinnamon like I do)

(1 Tbsp of honey or maple syrup –optional if you’re making it a dessert)

(1 tsp maca powder–optional)

(1 Tbsp chia seeds–optional)
