Planes are a funny thing. You can get stuck with 5 hours of elbow wrestling a hairy, super-sized, deodorant-boycotting beast or you can meet the most interesting people.
Luckily for me, my last flight landed me not only in the bulkhead, just inches from first class, but next to a recently showered, lovely girl, who was just visiting her violinist boyfriend, who plays his stringed instrument on a cruise line.
Having seen the shattered screen on my phone (damage sustained by dropping my phone while texting my husband that I had just stepped in dog-poo) she offered the helpful advice of a place that replaces iphone screens quickly and affordably. She also offered up this smoothie recipe, with which she turbocharges her health each morning. Thanks Melanie!
3 kale leaves with stalks
2 cups ice
1 cup water
1 squeezed lemon
1/2-1 banana
1 cup pineapple juice (I sub frozen 1 1/2 cup pineapple cubes and 1/2 cup water for both ice and pineapple juice)
2-4 slices of shaved ginger (more or less based on your taste)
2 tsp Stevia (I sub honey, because of it’s healing properties)
Mix together in a blender and feel your cells de-aging!

I’ve sat next to the “hairy, super-sized, deodorant-boycotting beast” on many flights! This recipe sound interesting, especially since it has ginger in it — I always take ginger drops with me on long flights.
Hahaha! I take ginger lozenges, ill have to try the drops!
Let me know what you think!

I agree with others except ginger :). I don’t think ginger and pineapple mix well together
I hear you. We all have our preferences. I enjoyed this smoothie, but make it your own!
